Leviticus 3

Reading in Leviticus, while it is the bible, is only slightly more exciting than the tax code. However, there are many important facts to glean from the book. Leviticus 3:6 "If you present a peace offering to the Lord from the flock, you may bring either a goat or a sheep. It may be either male, or female, and it must have no physical defects." When we offer ourselves to the Lord through our service, do we give 100%? God does not call for us to only give 75%, as in the verse about his desire is not to have the leftovers. How many sheep in a flock have physical defects? Yet the Lord is asking for a sheep with NO physical defects. We should be giving the Lord our best, not what is left over after a hard week at work.
