The guilt offering, as passed from God to Moses, then to Aaron and the priest, is another offering to the Lord. Of the offerings to the Lord, this one differs from the rest, in that only the priest may eat it, and only in the courtyard. After reading in Leviticus,it makes me wonder what the courtyard was like.
If I lived in those days, I might as well be a priest, because I would be making lots of sacrifices... ...not that I am part of Hells Angles. Rather, because throughout any given day, there are times when I am not obedient to the Lord.
I had a pastor describe it like this one time:
Following the Lord, is like letting God drive the car. In our lives, more often than not, we grab the wheel, and tell God to sit in the passenger seat, or even the back seat. How many people like the back seat drivers, or listen to them, how good are we going to listen to God if he goes in the back seat of our lives.
